We took Charm down to the river today; her first time. My husband went along for the exercise of hiking in and hiking out.

The first picture shows her as we are going down one of the hills into the river bottom. She takes the opportunity to take a good look around.

In the second picture, I'd been experimenting with putting my arm over her back and walking alongside of her where a rider would be (I slipped back just a tidge for the picture effect).

Then she tries out some of the river weeds (not too good).

She smells the water, then tastes it.

In the next to last picture, she comes walking into the water towards me, but as her back feet splash, it scares her and she turns on the hind, up and out, running onto the sand.

The last picture shows our hike out of the river bottom, as she looks over the edge of the uphill path.
